Saugus shares a border with Wakefield. Our Wakefield repair shop on Albion Street is about 5 miles from Saugus Center: take Main Street north into Wakefield, then Farm Street to Water Street. Walk-ins are welcome.

18 Albion St, Wakefield, MA 01880
From cracked screens and weak batteries to charging, camera and board-level problems, these are the iPhone repairs Saugus customers bring to our Wakefield shop most often.
Cracked glass, damaged displays, touch problems, lines, flickering and black-screen issues. Screen replacements carry a lifetime warranty against touch loss and screen lifting.
For fast drain, low battery health, unexpected shutdowns or an iPhone that won't hold a charge. See the signs your battery needs replacing.
For cracked, shattered or missing rear glass. Back glass takes longer than a screen because the old glass has to come off the frame first.
Loose cables, intermittent charging or no charging at all. We clean and inspect the port first. Try our charging troubleshooting guide before you come in.
Cracked camera lenses, blurry photos, shaking, or a black camera screen. Replace a cracked lens early, before dust reaches the camera underneath.
For low or distorted audio, microphone problems, and callers who can't hear you clearly.
Power, volume, mute and Action button problems across supported iPhone models.
For shutdowns, display problems and other symptoms after liquid exposure. Liquid damage is diagnosed first; we don't promise same-day on these repairs.
Our Wakefield shop does microsoldering and logic board repair in-house, so board-level work isn't mailed out.

Repair Pricing
Prices by model for screen replacement (In-Cell or OLED), battery replacement, charging port repair and back glass. Pick the repair, then your iPhone series.
Not sure which repair you need? Start with the symptom. These are the iPhone problems Saugus customers bring to our Wakefield shop most often.
Cracked glass, broken display areas, sharp edges or damage after a drop.
The percentage drops quickly, battery health is low, or the phone needs charging constantly.
The cable feels loose, charging stops and starts, or the iPhone doesn't recognize the charger.
You hear sounds or feel vibration, but the display stays dark.
Photos won't focus, the image shakes, the camera stays black or a lens is cracked.
No display, no vibration and no startup even when connected to power.
The screen doesn't respond, taps by itself, has dead areas or responds inconsistently.
Your voice sounds quiet, muffled or cuts out on calls, recordings or speakerphone.
The phone was exposed to water or another liquid and now has charging, screen, audio or power problems.
Green, white or colored lines appear after a drop or display failure.
The phone reboots on its own, gets stuck during startup or loops on the Apple logo.
A side button is stuck, loose, unresponsive or only works when pressed a certain way.
Call our Wakefield shop at (781) 960-8512 or bring the phone in for a free diagnostic. Walk-ins are welcome.
Not every iPhone problem needs the same repair. Here's what the common problems look like, what we check on the bench in Wakefield, and what usually fixes them.
A damaged iPhone screen isn't always just cracked glass. After a drop you may see black areas, colored lines, flickering, an image that ignores touch, or a completely dark display while the phone still rings. Those point to damage inside the display assembly, not only the outer glass.
Screen prices vary by iPhone generation and by the screen option you choose, which is why the price list above shows starting prices. When the screen is in stock, most replacements are done while you wait.
Cracks keep spreading, and broken edges can cut a thumb. Replacing the screen while the display still works is usually the cheaper outcome, before a second drop damages the panel underneath.
Battery problems creep up slowly. The percentage falls faster than it used to, the phone shuts down before zero, it slows down under load, or it has to stay on the charger.
Battery Health in iOS is useful, but the symptom matters too. If the phone has poor runtime or shuts off unexpectedly, we check whether the battery is the cause or whether a charging or power fault needs a closer look.
A swollen battery pushes against the display and can leave a visible gap along the edge. If the screen is lifting, stop pressing it back down and bring the phone in promptly.
If your iPhone only charges at an angle, disconnects when the cable moves, or ignores a known-good cable, we check the port before replacing anything. Packed lint is the most common cause, and cleaning it out costs far less than a new port.
If the port itself is worn or damaged, we replace it. We'll show you what we found before any work starts.
Try a known-good cable and power adapter. If the problem follows the phone across accessories, the phone needs a look. More tips in our iPhone charging problems guide.
Rear-glass damage ranges from a small corner crack to a fully shattered back. Beyond looks, broken rear glass leaves sharp edges and exposes the inside of the phone to more damage.
Back glass takes longer than a screen because the old glass has to be separated from the frame. Call the Wakefield shop with your exact model and we'll confirm the price and whether the part is on hand.
If the same drop cracked a camera lens or affected your photos, tell us at drop-off. The camera area gets checked separately instead of assuming the damage stops at the back glass.
Liquid doesn't always kill a phone right away. An iPhone can keep working and then develop charging, display, audio or camera problems days later as corrosion spreads on the board. That's why liquid damage gets diagnosed first rather than quoted as one fixed repair, and why we don't promise same-day on it.
If your phone got wet, turn it off and don't keep plugging it in to test it. Bring it to the Wakefield shop and tell us what liquid it was, when it happened, and what changed afterward. We clean and repair corroded boards in-house.
Camera and audio problems are specific. A rear camera may shake or refuse to focus, the camera app may show black, a speaker may sound distorted, or callers may struggle to hear you. Knowing exactly when it happens tells us which part to test.
A cracked camera lens should be replaced early. The longer it stays cracked, the more likely dust reaches the camera underneath, and once that happens the camera itself has to be replaced as a separate repair. For audio, tell us whether it happens on calls, speakerphone, recordings or media playback.
Some iPhone problems aren't fixed by a new screen, battery or port. Phones with no power, boot loops, old liquid damage or a failed earlier repair often have a fault on the logic board itself.
Our Wakefield shop does microsoldering and board-level repair in-house. Most chain repair shops don't do this work. For Saugus customers, that means board repairs happen on our bench instead of being mailed away. If a phone truly can't be saved, we can often still get your photos and files off it through data recovery.
A phone that looks completely dead could have a display, battery, charging, connector or board fault. Testing separates those before anyone orders an expensive part.
Bring the phone to Fix 'N Repair at 18 Albion St, Wakefield, MA 01880. Walk-ins welcome Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–8 PM. Diagnostics are free in the shop.
iPhone symptoms can be misleading. A charging problem doesn't automatically mean a bad port, and a black screen doesn't mean a dead phone. Here's what we look at on the bench in Wakefield before recommending a repair.
If the screen stays black but the phone still vibrates, rings or plays notification sounds, the phone is running. The problem is usually the display or its connector, not the logic board.
That matters because it's the difference between a screen repair and a much bigger job. We call the phone or plug it in to see what it does before recommending anything.
Pocket lint, a damaged cable, a worn battery or another power fault can all look like a bad port.
We test with a known-good cable and look into the port with a light before deciding what needs replacing.
Useful clue: Tell us whether it charges only at an angle, charges wirelessly, or doesn't respond to power at all.
Battery Health is useful, but we also look at early shutdowns, short runtime, charging behavior, and whether the battery is swelling under the screen.
One percentage in Settings doesn't tell the whole story.
Useful clue: Note whether the battery drops gradually, loses big chunks suddenly, or shuts the phone off.
An iPhone can keep working right after getting wet and fail weeks later. Charging, audio, cameras, the display, buttons or power can all be affected as corrosion spreads.
Tell us about any past liquid exposure, even if it happened long before the current problem.
Useful clue: What liquid, roughly when, and what changed afterward.
A phone that restarts, looks dead or acts unpredictably could have a screen, battery, charging, connector, liquid or logic board fault.
That's why diagnostics come before ordering expensive parts. When it is the board, we repair it in-house with microsoldering.
Useful clue: Past drops, liquid, earlier repairs and when the problem started all help.
Describe the symptoms instead of guessing the part. Call (781) 960-8512 or bring it to our Wakefield shop for a free diagnostic.
Our closest Fix 'N Repair shop is in Wakefield, or we can come to you in Saugus. Here's what makes the visit quicker and helps us find the problem faster.
Whether you're coming from Saugus Center, Cliftondale, the Route 1 area or North Saugus, our Wakefield shop is the closest place to walk in. Walk-ins are welcome. Calling ahead with your model helps us confirm the part is in stock. Prefer not to drive? We offer on-site repair at your home or office in Saugus.
None of this is required, it just makes check-in quicker. If you can't do every step, bring the phone in and tell us what it's doing.
If the phone works, go to Settings → General → About → Model Name. The exact model sets the price and tells us which part to pull.
If the iPhone still works, run an iCloud or computer backup before the repair. It only takes a few minutes and protects your photos.
Some repairs need an account or security step before or after the work. Keep your own login handy, but you never need to share your password with us.
Was it dropped? Did it get wet? Has it been repaired before? Does the problem come and go? The story helps more than a guess at which part failed.
Tell us what the iPhone is doing: black screen, fast battery drain, no charging, restarting, lines on the display, camera problems or anything else. Diagnosis comes before guessing at parts.

Yes. We do on-site iPhone repair in Saugus for screens, batteries, charging ports and camera lenses. On-site jobs have a $69 minimum charge. That isn't a trip fee added on top. You pay the normal repair price, and the $69 only applies if the repair costs less than that. Liquid damage and logic board repairs need our bench, so those go to the Wakefield shop. The free diagnostic applies to in-shop visits only.
No. Walk-ins are welcome at our Wakefield shop Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM. If you want to save time, use the quote form at the top of this page to tell us your iPhone model and the problem before you come in, or call (781) 960-8512. Calling ahead is most useful for newer models or less common repairs, so we can confirm the part is on the shelf before you make the drive.
Yes, for most models. When the screen is in stock, most iPhone screen replacements are finished while you wait. Some higher-grade screens are ordered for your repair instead of kept on the shelf, and those take longer. Call the Wakefield shop with your exact model to confirm stock before you drive over. Same-day doesn't apply to liquid damage or logic board repairs, which need a diagnosis first.
Screen replacements have a lifetime warranty covering loss of touch, ghost touching, random clicking and the screen lifting. It doesn't cover new drop damage after the repair, or display panel failures like black screens, lines or dark blotches. Every other repair, including batteries, charging ports, back glass and board-level work, has a 90-day warranty. Parts you supply yourself aren't covered. Keep your receipt; a text or email copy is fine for a claim.
Yes. We replace batteries for fast drain, low battery health, unexpected shutdowns and phones that won't hold a charge. We check the symptoms first, because a charging or power fault can look like a bad battery. If your screen is starting to lift away from the frame, the battery may be swelling. Stop pressing the screen back down and bring the phone to our Wakefield shop, or book on-site service in Saugus.
Yes, on supported models with cracked, shattered or missing rear glass. Back glass takes longer than a screen because the old glass has to be separated from the frame before the new glass goes on. Call the Wakefield shop at (781) 960-8512 with your exact model and we'll confirm the price and whether the part is on hand. If the same drop cracked a camera lens, tell us so we check that too.
Often, yes. A phone that looks dead might have a failed screen, battery, charging port or logic board, and we test each before recommending anything. Our Wakefield shop does microsoldering in-house, so board faults and liquid corrosion get repaired on our bench instead of being mailed out. Liquid damage is diagnosed first, so we don't promise same-day. If the phone can't be saved, we can often still recover your photos and files.
The Wakefield shop is open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM, and closed Sunday. Our Watertown shop is open Sundays if you need a repair that day.
