The A14 doesn't carry an official IP water resistance rating — that feature came in with the A15 and later A-series budget models. It can usually survive light rain or a splash, but there's no lab-tested seal here, so water exposure carries more real risk than on models with an IP rating.
Optical in-display fingerprint sensor
Unlike A-series phones with AMOLED screens, the A14 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor built into the power button, not an in-display sensor of any kind — LCD panels don't support that technology. It's a separate mechanical part from the screen, which is actually good news for screen repairs, since replacing the display doesn't touch the fingerprint sensor at all.
Battery drain after software updates
