Phone and iPad repairs (screens, batteries, charging ports) are done same-day at the Watertown counter while you wait. For laptops, MacBooks, and consoles, we tell you the realistic timeline after a free diagnostic — most still finish same-day or next-day. How to Find Our Watertown Shop

We're at 7 Main Street in Watertown, right next to A Barbershop on Main Street. Easy parking in the back lot behind the building (the CVS plaza). This is our original location — the first Fix 'N Repair shop — and our microsoldering specialist lab.

Getting here

Main Street runs through the heart of Watertown Square and connects directly to Cambridge (via Mount Auburn Street), Boston (via the Mass Pike, I-90), Brighton (via N Beacon Street), and Belmont (via Belmont Street). From the Mass Pike, take the Allston/Brighton exit and follow N Beacon Street west to Watertown Square. From Cambridge, Mount Auburn Street runs directly into Watertown.

Nearby landmarks

We're right next to A Barbershop on Main Street — that's the easiest way to spot us. The CVS at Watertown Square shares our back parking lot. We're in the heart of Watertown Square, walking distance from the Watertown branch library and the bus stops. About 6 minutes from Arsenal Yards (the large mixed-use development with restaurants and shops). The Apple Store at CambridgeSide Galleria in Cambridge is about 15 minutes away — but they won't see you same-day without a Genius Bar appointment, which is why most of our customers come to us first.

Parking

Easy parking in the back lot behind the building — the CVS plaza lot at Watertown Square. Pull around to the back of the building and you'll find open spaces almost any hour. Easier than hunting for street parking on Main Street. The lot is shared with CVS and the other adjacent businesses, but there's plenty of room.

Our Watertown Microsoldering Lab

Watertown is our microsoldering specialist location. When customers drop off devices at our Newton or Burlington shops needing board-level work — charging IC replacement, backlight circuit repair, water damage component restoration, no-power diagnostics, foldable screen connectors, GPU artifacting — those devices come here. Microsoldering is one of two Fix 'N Repair locations where this work is done in-house; the other is Wakefield. Most repair shops — including the major chains — do not perform microsoldering. uBreakiFix excludes it from their warranty terms. CPR doesn't advertise it. Apple's policy is to replace the entire logic board for a fee that rivals a new device. We repair the component on the board, instead of replacing the entire board. The cost difference for the customer is typically 60-80% less than the chain's "board swap" pricing.

Lifetime warranty on cell phone and iPad screen replacements

Every cell phone screen replacement and iPad screen replacement we do at Watertown comes with a lifetime warranty covering four specific issues: touch sensitivity problems, ghost clicking, random clicking, and screen lifting. Bring the device back with your receipt and we'll repair or replace it free, no time limit. The warranty is honored at all four of our Massachusetts locations — repair in Watertown today, drop into Newton, Burlington, or Wakefield years later if you need to.

90-day warranty on all other repairs

Battery replacements, charging port repairs, back glass, board-level work, console repairs, laptop repairs, and Apple Watch repairs all carry a 90-day warranty. If the part fails or the repair has a defect within 90 days, bring it back with your receipt and we'll handle it. Water damage repairs are not warrantied — outcomes depend on factors we can't control.

What the warranty doesn't cover

The lifetime screen warranty covers the screen, not drop damage. If the glass survives a new drop but the LCD or OLED panel underneath develops lines, bands, or dead zones afterward, that's impact damage — not a warranty defect. A fresh crack from a new drop is a separate repair (we usually offer a small discount on a second repair within a reasonable period — ask at the counter). Payment methods

We accept cash (no fee), Visa, Mastercard, and Discover (3% convenience fee), Apple Pay (no fee), and Venmo (no fee). We do not accept American Express or personal checks. All quoted repair prices are pre-tax — 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax applies at checkout.
